The defense attorney for a Jamestown woman charged with murder is questioning what responsibility she has in the case. David Ogren, court-appointed attorney for Janelle Cave, 22, Jamestown, made the claim for lesser responsibility in opening arguments of the trial Tuesday.

County to enforce road right of way
Stutsman County is checking to make sure landowners don’t violate right-of-way restrictions along county roads. “We’ve had issues with road right-of-way infringements, which can jeopardize (federal) funding if we don’t enforce it,” said Dave Schwartz, Stutsman County commissioner, at Tuesday’s meeting of the Stutsman County Commission.

Measure 2 is clearly foolish
No matter how proponents frame it, the measure to repeal all property taxes in North Dakota is an ill-conceived ideological stunt that would cripple local governments. Maybe that’s the ultimate goal of the Measure 2 crowd, but whatever the motivation, Measure 2 is transparently foolish.
