The Jamestown Taz placed third in the state folkstyle dual tournament at the Bismarck Civic Center March 29. It was the first time in several years the Taz placed in the ‘A’ division. They beat the Minot Rattlers (45-25) and Bismarck Gorillas (39-33) for the first time in recent history on their run to third place. The Jamestown Blue Jays 12-Blue sixth-grade volleyball team placed first at a tournament in Jamestown April 6. The Blue Jays went 3-1 in pool play, then defeated a team from Mandan in the semifinals and a team from Fargo in the championship, 2-1.
