A downed power line created an arc where it fell to the ground north of Carrington. The arc burned the ground, creating the black marks seen in this photo. High winds and fallen tree branches caused several power outages north of Jamestown. Northern Plains Electric Cooperative crews worked late Tuesday evening and Wednesday to restore power to its members.
