The kindergarten class at Louis L’ Amour Elementary School, taught by Heather Tomlin-Rohr, challenged AgCountry Farm Credit Services in a contest to collect items and raise money for the James River Humane Society. The contest raised a total of $825 and collected 388 items to assist the James River Humane Society.  This is the 14th year this challenge has benefited the James River Humane Society.  On May 11, 19 students from Louis L’Amour visited AgCountry to count the money and items collected.

A groundbreaking ceremony for Harold Newman Arena was recently held on the University of Jamestown campus during the spring board of trustees meeting. The ceremony marked the beginning of construction on the $15 million project. The arena is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2017. Submitted.
