Business forum set for April 15 at Alerus Center in Grand Forks
Gov. Jack Dalrymple and the Greater North Dakota Chamber of Commerce are hosting the Governor’s Business Forum on April 15 at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. The event will provide an opportunity for business leaders, legislators and state officials to build upon North Dakota’s business climate and discuss ideas for continuing to develop an environment that will foster additional opportunities for North Dakota.
It’s also an opportunity to celebrate the successes of companies and business people from across the state, and learn about best practices and innovative ideas
The forum will begin with lunch and an address and facilitated discussion with Dalrymple. The afternoon will include presentations and workshops focused on taxes, workforce and education — three issues that will be a high priority during the upcoming legislative session.
The forum will conclude after dinner with two exciting presentations. The first is the presentation of the Greater North Dakotan Award to Frank Larson in acknowledgment of the business and philanthropic impact he has had on the state of North Dakota
Following the award presentation, there will be a keynote address from Whit Ayres of North Star Opinion. Whit Ayres is a leading Washington, D.C., political consultant with over 30 years of experience in polling and survey research for political campaigns and associations. Ayres will talk about the economic and political landscape of the U.S. and how it will impact North Dakota.
