This is the time of year turkeys take the spotlight. Minnesota is the nation's largest turkey producer, but the industry was hit hard by avian influenza last spring. Forty-eight million turkeys died, nine million in Minnesota. Then barns had to undergo extensive cleaning before operations could resume. But it hasn't had a significant effect on turkey supply or prices this holiday season. Agweek reporter Mikkel Pates finds out how the industry is recovering.
