Sons of Norway discusses items

Sons of Norway Wergeland Lodge 247 met at the Women’s Club Rooms Nov. 19 for a soup, bread and dessert meal. Chad Brinster, Gloria Michaelson and Elsie Weber were guests.

Linda Mohn and Karen Freeman presented the PowerPoint program “Making a Difference.”

Plans to participate in the Nov. 29 Holiday Dazzle Parade with the club’s Viking ship were discussed.

Lefse-making day was a success. Lefse and other Scandinavian baked goods will be for sale Nov. 23 at the Buffalo Mall.

Nomination of officers for the coming year was announced. Installation of officers will be at the Dec. 17 meeting.

Members shared their favorite Christmas recipes and stories about them.

The next meeting of SON will be a potluck at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Women’s Club Rooms.
