Chili cook-off raises funds

Submitted photo The Buffalo Mall presented a check to the James River Senior Center for $2,416 recently, which was raised during the Business Leaders Chili Cook-off Saturday. All of the proceeds go directly to the James River Senior Center Meals on Wheels program. Included in this amount was $837 raised from the RSVP+ bake sale held in conjunction with the Chili Cook-off. 2 / 3

The Buffalo Mall has announced the winners of the 9th Annual Business Leaders Chili Cook-off fundraiser for the James River Senior Center Meals on Wheels program. The event was held on March 8, and the event raised $2,416 for the meals program. Of that amount, $837 came from the RSVP+ bake sale held at the same time.

There were 15 entries in this event: Alpha Opportunities Inc., Bison 6 Cinema, Buffalo Mall, Central Auto Repair & Services, Classic Catering, Fritz Fremgen — Stutsman County state’s attorney;  Interstate Engineering Inc., James River Senior Center/James River Public Transit, Kiwanis Club of Jamestown, Mrs. ND America — 2014 Local Title Holders, PATH ND, Inc., Phillips for Mayor (Pam Phillips), Queen Team (Former Mrs. N.D. America), R & A Home Services, and Wells Fargo Bank.
