JRMC Auxiliary hears reports

President Cindy Grimm called the Jamestown Regional Medical Center Auxiliary meeting to order June 2, with 27 members present.

A memorial and prayer led by Carol Splonskoski were held for the auxiliary members who have passed in the last year, Donna Mae Ginsbach and Emma Hins.

Minutes were approved as corrected. Correspondence regarding the foundation fundraiser Golf fore Good was read with dates for the event being July 17 for a street dance and barbecue and the golf tournament on July 18 at the Jamestown Country Club.

Madelyn Hoffer, treasurer reported plant sale proceeds were $1,214.63 and there are 48 paid auxiliary members. Alice Williams, co-chair of the spring bazaar, said $1,322.66 was raised from the event and with this success, recommended hosting another sale next spring. Marlys Perleberg, co-chair for the Tea for All Seasons, announced that the event is scheduled for Sept. 10 at Trinity Lutheran Church and the event will include a silent auction. Barb Miller, delegate, gave a report on the State Hand Convention that was held on May 20.

Lisa Jackson, JRMC Foundation director, said the EPIC conversion started midnight June 1 and would continue through the week. Saturday the Running of the Pink was held and funds raised will go to Women’s Way and the 3D mammography machine at JRMC. On Sept. 5 the Pillars of Giving dinner will honor those supporting the foundation.

The Calendars for Cash fundraiser will be held in August with Linda Greer as the chairperson. Volunteers are needed for the Gift Shoppe and JRMC Clinic.

The next meeting for the JRMC Auxiliary will be at 1:30 p.m. July 7 at JRMC.
