Adams speaks on drones at Kiwanis

Kiwanis member Tim Eggers, introduced speaker Logan Adams at the Oct. 23 Kiwanis meeting. Adams is a certified drone pilot and owns a company called Mercury PIC (Pilot in Command). He has an FAA license to shoot video and photos commercially. Adams shared many of the uses for drone footage and said hundreds of drone startups are happening each year in various industries, including ag, traffic, retail delivery, forestry, insurance and more. Vice President Tim Eggers led the meeting attended by 25 members and four guests. Don Caine led group singing accompanied by Sharon Caine. Janna Bergstedt collected “Happy Dollars” for Kids Against Hunger, an annual meal packaging event hosted by the Kiwanis Club. This year’s event will be held Nov. 4 at Stutsman Harley-Davidson in Jamestown. Donations and volunteers are needed to help pack 100,000 meals.
