The annual Holiday Dazzle on Main Parade is gearing up for Friday, Nov. 24, with as many as 50 lighted floats to kick off the holiday season the day after Thanksgiving.
The parade lineup will start at 6 p.m., followed by the parade at 7 p.m. from McElroy Park up First Avenue to 1st Street East, said Lynn Lambrecht of the Jamestown Downtown Association. The after parade party will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall where the Jamestown Choralaires will sing holiday songs, Lambrecht said.
“We will have cookies, coffee and hot chocolate,” Lambrecht said. “We will also be handing out the float award trophies.”
The event draws people from around the region, Lambrecht said.
Register a float in the parade through Nov. 22. The cost to enter a float is $25 for Jamestown Downtown Association members and nonprofit organizations; $35 for non-members and $100 for a sponsorship recognition or a specific position in the parade lineup.
“We certainly have room for more floats,” Lambrecht said.
