Lech speaks on committee at Rotary

Rob Lech, superintendent for the Jamestown Public School District, discussed with Rotary members the latest talking points coming from the Citizen Advisory Committee. He said the information coming from the stakeholders gives everyone better insight of the needs for the district. Lech said the committee will reconvene after Jan. 1.

Erin Paulson welcomed everyone to the meeting, Curt Liechty gave the table prayer, and Bob Boyar collected “happy dollars” for Rotary projects. The student guests for October were Emma Bennett and Samara McDermid. Both are seniors and they sang a duet of the hymn “Amazing Grace” acapella. Other guests were Matt Eggl, owner of Anytime Fitness, and Rob Craig from United Express. Paulson reminded members to be alert for her email on what day works best for members to help put up Christmas lights.

Doug Frohlich will introduce today’s program, Steve Berntson will give the table blessing, Cali Johnston and Mark Reeves will led in music, and Dave Smette is the sergeant-atarms.

Rotary meets at 12:10 p.m. Tuesdays at the Quality Inn & Suites. Everyone is welcome.
