14U softball team finishes season 21-2

The Jamestown 14U girls fastpitch softball team closed its season with 13-1 and 9-3 wins over West Fargo I on Monday.

In the opener, Chloe Crabtree improved to 12-0 in the circle, allowing just one run. Kelsey Goter went 2-for-2 offensively.

Mariah Wick, Sydney Soulis, Crabtree and Molly Fritz added hits. Olivia Nihill, Wick, Joey Kleinsasser, Goter and Morgan Well scored two runs each.

In the nightcap, Nihill fanned 10 batters en route to her ninth win of the season.

Jamestown, which finished 14-0 in West Fargo League play and 21-2 overall, had just two hits, both by Crabtree, who also scored twice. Halle Uehran also touched home twice.
