The Jamestown Blue Jays sixth-grade boys traveling basketball team placed first at the North Dakota Pacesetter State tournament on Sunday in Grand Forks. The N.D. state champion and runner-up automatically qualify for the 8-team Pacesetter Great Four State Basketball Championships at the Target Center in Minneapolis this summer along with Minnesota, South Dakota and Iowa. The Blue Jays beat Hillsboro-Central Valley 41-30, Grand Forks Aces 46-31 and Four Winds in the championship, 50-41.
