Another late one for Post 14

Austen Gilbertson scored the game's first run on a wild pitch, helping West Fargo to a 3-0 lead over Jamestown after six innings at press time on Friday night.

West Fargo's Noah Paper was working on a five-hitter, though Jamestown did leave eight base runners stranded.

Post 14 starter Joey Gebhardt had a four-hitter until the three-run fifth inning.

It was the second time Jamestown played deep into the night in the tournament.

On Wednesday night, Post 14 and Grand Forks played past midnight with Grand Forks prevailing, 12-9.

The winner of the Jamestown/West Fargo game plays Grand Forks today at 3 p.m.

Top-seeded Bismarck and Fargo Post 2 sqaure off at noon in a matchup of tournament unbeatens. The winner advances to Sunday’s championship round.
