Athletic development camps scheduled

Jamestown High School strength and conditioning coach Bill Nelson is hosting athletic development camps for high school and middle school athletes this summer.

The Blue Jay Athletic Development Camp is for student-athletes entering grades 9-12 this fall. Camp will be held Monday-Thursdays with sessions at 6 and 8 a.m. at JHS Fridays will be an optional day at the Jamestown Middle School green space at 8 a.m.

Cost is $50, but the camp also includes an incentive program, meaning if student-athletes make 90 percent of the workouts, they will get their money back. There are 32 sessions planned, meaning athletes will get their money back if they attend 29 workouts.

Brochures are available at the JHS office.

The Middle School Blue Jay Athletic Development Camp is for student-athletes entering grade 7-8 this fall. Camp will be held Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at the JMS green space.

Cost is $40, but money will be returned if athletes attend 90 percent of the workouts.
