The Human Resource Committee of Ave Maria Village donated $383 to the Salvation Army during the week that all its funds were matched.

The Human Resource Committee includes representatives from all departments at Ave Maria Village. They designate money to charitable organizations in increments of $200. An additional jeans week was added to supplement the funds. Sandra Sodawasser chairs the committee.

Other organizations the HRC donated to are Jamestown United Way, Stutsman County Relay for Life, American Red Cross, Sisters of Mary of the Presentation, Jamestown Parks and Recreation and Ave Maria’s Capital Campaign.

“As the human resource director at Ave Maria Village, I am pleased that HRC is willing to help many organizations in the community,” Jeannie Schmidt said. “It is a pleasure to work with so many caring people and it was great to be able to have our donation matched for such a worthy cause.”
