Twice a year, administrative staff members serve up a breakfast to residents and staff of Ave Maria Village and the Heritage Centre.

"It's a nice event that brings residents and staff of both places together to share a meal," said Jodi Bunde, dietary director of Ave Maria. "There is always a positive energy at this event."

This year Bunde decided to add another feature to the event and will be inviting a "Celebrity Chef" to help cook at each breakfast. The first celebrity chef was Charlie Kourajian.

"I wanted someone who many of the residents would know and Charlie accepted," Bunde said.

"It worked out great," said Jan Barnes, development director. "He made French toast and visited with everyone. He made the breakfast even more special."
