Bison break out of southwest ND corral, are killed
DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) -- Four bison that broke out of a corral in Stark County near Dickinson were shot and killed before they could get into the city and cause damage.
The owners of the animals that each weighed more than half a ton were preparing to take them to market in South Dakota on Thursday when the bison got spooked and broke through gates and fences.
The Dickinson Press reports that the two owners of the animals, county deputies, city police officers, and neighbors and friends all worked to get the situation under control. No one was hurt.
