Blue Jays, Jimmies drop duals on the road

Email

Valley City’s senior-laden lineup was too strong for the Blue Jays Friday night.

Jamestown got a couple of surprise wins against the veteran Hi-Liners, but the host team still came away with a comfortable 51-18 win.

Despite the loss, JHS coach Larry Eslick saw plenty of positives.

“We knew going in it was going to be tough. Valley City has a nice team,” Eslick said. “But for the most part I thought the kids wrestled pretty tough. I was happy with the effort.”
