Bond set at $10K for ND woman accused assault
BISMARCK — Bond has been set at $10,000 for a Fort Yates woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend with a kitchen knife and breaking his arm with a cooking pot.
The Bismarck Tribune reports that 27-year-old Terra Jade Ironhawk faces felony aggravated assault and terrorizing charges for allegedly attacking her boyfriend at a Bismarck residence late Tuesday.
Police said Ironhawk and her boyfriend had an argument and that Ironhawk left but later returned. Police said the couple began fighting in the bedroom and Ironhawk struck her boyfriend several times with a metal pot on his right arm, breaking it.
After hitting him with the cookware, Ironhawk stabbed her boyfriend at least twice in the abdomen with a kitchen knife, police said.
South Central District Judge Gail Hagerty set bond on Wednesday. Ironhawk remained in custody at the Burleigh County jail on Friday.
Court papers said Ironhawk applied for a court-appointed attorney to defend her but it was denied because the application was incomplete.
