Bottineau voters defeat school bond issue
BOTTINEAU, N.D. — The superintendent of Bottineau schools says the school board may try again to push a bond issue for a new elementary school
The Minot Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1iS8gZv ) that Bottineau voters defeated an $18.9 million school bond issue last week.
The bond issue would have paid for construction of a new elementary school in east Bottineau.
School superintendent Jason Kersten says the unofficial vote count showed the bond issue was defeated with 566 to 483.
Kersten says the board will likely return to voters with another bond issue proposal next year.
