Camp Meeting at Lehr scheduled
The annual Camp Meeting at the historic Tabernacle on the grounds of Prairie Bible Camp one-half mile east of Lehr will begin Wednesday with services at 7:30 p.m. each day through June 14.
The Camp Meeting will conclude June 15 with a worship service at 10:30 a.m., followed by a noon meal in the camp dining hall.
The evangelist for this year’s meeting is the Rev. Wesley Putnam, of Bedford, Texas. Putnam is an evangelist, singer and composer, whose ministry includes preaching, storytelling and music woven together in order to create a fresh approach to renewal.
Putnam’s ministry includes dramatizations of Bible stories told through biblical characters he brings to life as though they were living today, using costumes and dialects.
A camp for youths age 11-18 (sixth- through 12th-graders) runs concurrent with the Camp Meeting. The youths will experience teaching sessions by Putnam as well as a variety of activities including swimming, paintball and night games.
The camp is on a freewill basis, and youth can register online at www.prairie biblecamp.com.
The Camp Meeting is a non-denominational event and welcomes all those who seek to strengthen their Christian walk and deepen their relationships with God and Jesus.
