They were hit hard by graduation, and the product they were going to put on the court this season was in question.

But at the conclusion of the Stutsman County boys basketball tournament on Saturday, a central theme stood out: The Carrington Cardinals still have a pretty good basketball team.

Carrington defeated Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier 67-49 in the championship game inside the Jamestown Civic Center, hoisting the tournament’s title trophy for a second consecutive year.
