Cardinals, Loboes earn spots in poll

Two area teams have played its way into the Class A and 9-man football polls.

In Class A, Carrington's 3-0 start earned it the No. 4 ranking in the latest polls, which were released on Wednesday. The Cardinals are the only area team in the rankings. They won at Kidder County last week and travel down highway 281 on Friday to play Ellendale-Edgeley-Kulm.

In the 9-man rankings, LaMoure-Litchville-Marion earned a spot for the first time thanks to their convincing 46-14 win over previous No. 4-ranked Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter last week.

The 4-0 Loboes have another big Region 1 showdown on Friday when they travel to Wishek to face fellow unbeaten South Border (4-0).
