The Carrington Cardinals and the Pingree-Buchanan Rebels wrapped up their Class B volleyball regular seasons at Pingree-Buchanan High School on Monday night. Carrington’s Kayla Hochhalter and Jacey Engelhorn each collected 10 kills, helping the Cards win in straight sets, 25-21, 25-13, 25-21. Brooke Rosenau added 31 assists for the winners.

Jordan Thomas once again led the Rebels in kills with 12, while also posting 10 digs and 4 blocks. P-B’s Mariah Wick (12) and Lindsey Saxberg (11) combined for 23 assists.

Carrington is the No. 2 seed and will receive a first-round bye for the District 7 tournament starting on Thursday in New Rockford. The Rebels are the No. 3 seed for the District 5 tournament, and they’ll start the tourney facing Litchville-Marion-Montpelier on Friday in LaMoure.

Jayda Haugen and Abby Undem each fired in seven aces in Barnes County North’s 3-0 District 5 win over Medina.

Hannah Willson, Undem and Sam Wieland each hit five kills in the triumph.

Jaycee Moldenhauer led the Cardinals in digs (11), kills (6) and aces (3). Lindsay Hoffmann passed out four assists.

Kali Weinmann’s 11 kills helped Harvey-Wells County sweep Dakota Prairie.

Kara Fike connected for seven kills and Emily Hertz passed out 17 assists in the win. Nicole Erickson’s three blocks were team-leading.

Paige Dahl had two kills and a block for the Knights. Kaylie Haugen had four digs.
