Carrington is ranked fourth in the first Class AA poll of the season despite not even getting to play Friday night.

The Cardinals had their season-opener wiped out by stormy weather. They were scheduled to host Valley City. The game will not be made up.

Grafton tops the Class AA poll with Fargo Shanley and Beulah next. Minot Ryan is fifth.

Bismarck steamrolled West Fargo 26-0 Friday night and is the unanimous No. 1 in the 3A poll. Fargo South and Minot are 2-3.

Grand Forks Red River, the next opponent for Jamestown High School, is No. 4. The Blue Jays (0-1) host the Roughriders Friday at 7 p.m. at Gates Field. The Jays suffered a narrow 23-19 loss to Devils Lake on Saturday.

Bismarck Century rounds out the top five at No. 5.
