Coats for Kids campaign to start here

Ave Maria Village,  the Salvation Army and Blue Star Dry Cleaning and Beyond are continuing the collection program for the Coats for Kids program in this area.

Deacon Tom Geffre along with Lt. Mitch Brecto at the Salvation Army are coordinating the program.  Brecto said that the Salvation Army has a great need for winter clothing and is glad that something was being done in this area. Coats, gloves, winter caps, boots and snow suits of all sizes are needed, he said.

Collection sites will be Ave Maria Village, the Salvation Army and Blue Star Dry Cleaning and Beyond.

The local campaign will run Aug. 4-23. The donated items should be clean and in good condition.

Items requested may be dropped at any of the listed collection sites during business hours.
