Fishing:Devils Lake elevation, June 11: 1,453.24 feet above mean sea level (MSL).Stump Lake elevation: 1,453.43 MSL.Lake Sakakawea elevation: 1,842.33 MSL; 30,000 cubic feet per second average (CFS) Garrison Dam daily releases.N.D. Game & Fish Dept. Dist. game wardens: Devils Lake chain of lakes good for walleye in shallow water. Fishing remains good across the southeast and south-central lakes from Richland, Sargent, and Dickey counties into LaMoure and McIntosh, as well. Try casting jigs and or crankbaits from shore in 2 to 6 feet. Colors vary from bright fire, tiger, and perch. Some walleye success using nightcrawlers and leeches with plain hooks below slip bobbers in 8 to 12 feet. Red River in the Fargo reach is finally fishable from shore in all areas. Best locations seem to be structure with a slower current or backwater. Cut bait goldeye seem to be working best. Water temperatures are in the low 70s so look for catfish to start spawning soon. Sheyenne River remains good with water levels stabilizing and dropping. Try jigs and minnows or twister tails at the inlets of drains and creeks or near lowhead dams at Kathryn, Ft. Ransom, Lisbon, and West Fargo.Jamestown Reservoir, Pelican Point, Jamestown: Jamestown Reservoir fair to good for crappie using nightcrawlers or leeches.Jamestown Reservoir, Pioneer Bait Shop, Jamestown: Small area lakes continue doing well. Look for a mix of species on Jamestown Reservoir.Jamestown Reservoir, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Lots of activity but limited reports. Mallard Marsh also remains good. Also try other small area lakes.Pipestem Reservoir, Pioneer Bait Shop, Jamestown: Continued fair to good for crappie.Pipestem Reservoir, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Limited reports yet.Spiritwood Lake, Pioneer Bait Shop, Jamestown: Continued fair to good smallmouth bass success.Spiritwood Lake, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Lots of pike and perch success.N.D. river gauge height and streamflow:Baldhill Creek, Dazey: Creek stage, 7.14 feet; streamflow, 97 CFS.James River, Grace City: River stage, 5.72 feet; streamflow, 106 CFS.James River, Jamestown: River stage, 5.02 feet; streamflow, 307 CFS.Pipestem Creek, Pingree: Creek stage, 5.24 feet; streamflow, 32 CFS.Red River, Fargo: River stage, 16.77 feet; streamflow, 2,940 CFS.Sheyenne River, Cooperstown: River stage, 12.84 feet; streamflow 1,140 CFS.Sheyenne River, Valley City: River stage, 7.91 feet.Numbers to know:N.D.
