Damage reported in crash
A one-vehicle accident at 2:48 p.m. Monday resulted in more than $8,500 in damage, but no injuries, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Cameron Babineau, 41, Jamestown, was driving a 2010 Toyota south on U.S. Highway 52, coming down a hill where the highway turns and intersects with 4th Street Northwest.
According to the police report, Babineau applied the brakes and the vehicle slid out of control, kept going straight, and struck a snowbank on 4th Street Northwest.
Damage was estimated at $8,500 for the Toyota. Babineau wore his seat belt and wasn’t injured.
No citations were issued.
