Development funding approved
The Jamestown Finance & Legal Committee approved several requests for economic development funds from the Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corp. Tuesday.
The requests that will go before the Jamestown City Council for final approval are:
* $40,000 for a Flex PACE interest buydown for Custom Contracting Solutions, which is working on residential development in the area. The city’s share is $8,000.
* $15,000 for funding for the ACT Stutsman County program, which focuses on increasing skills in the workforce. The city’s share is $12,000.
* $100,000 as a pledge to the North Dakota State College of Science’s Manufacturing Training Center, which would be paid over four years. It is contingent on local industry support, and the city’s share would be $20,000 per year.
The committee also approved the purchase of a lot in the I-94 Business Park by Charlie Rickets and Ben Pesek for $67,954. Another purchase option deadline was extended through May 14 for Kal Patel.
