A driver was cited for DUI, care required and failure to wear a seat belt after hitting a parked vehicle at 2:15 a.m. on Aug. 8.

According to Jamestown police, Tyler Spanton, 24, Jamestown, was traveling north in a 2002 Honda passenger car on the 1400 block of 10th Avenue Northeast when he struck the driver’s side of a parked Toyota truck owned by Timothy Wise of Eagen, Minn.

Damage was estimated at $5,000 to the Honda and $7,000 to the Toyota.

Spanton’s airbag deployed in the accident and he reported injuries to his face and arm. Spanton declined an ambulance.
