Fargo-area Salvation Army surpasses holiday goal
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The Salvation Army of Fargo-Moorhead is celebrating reaching its fundraising goal of $475,000.
Maj. Elaine Medlock tells the Forum says their division not only reached its goal but exceeded it by about $3,000.
Medlock says it was an extremely cold holiday season but people “have extremely warm hearts.”
The Salvation Army mails out appeals for donations throughout the year, but the holiday season is the most important to fundraising.
The money raised through the campaign funds year-round charitable operations.
