Media, officials: New Jersey train crash kills three, injures more than 100

Fire reported in buffalo pasture

A fire in a buffalo pasture north of Interstate 94 at 9:50 p.m. Sunday was apparently started by a car accident, Jamestown Fire Department officials said.

"It took them about 15 minutes to get the fire out, but they had to be careful of the buffalo," said Gordy Christianson, JFD battalion chief.

The bison were not in danger from the fire.

By 10:45 p.m., the scene was declared clear, and the JFD's two equipment trucks, pumper and mini-pumper headed back to the station.

More information on the car accident and other details weren't immediately available.
