Fishing derby set for Lake Renwick

Icelandic State Park’s Lake Renwick is the site for an ice fishing tournament being sponsored by the Pembina County & Area Sportsman’s Club on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Entry fee for the derby is $10 per person with children ages 12 and under free. Participants must have a valid North Dakota fishing license. Prizes will be awarded for the largest northern and perch caught. Kids and the oldest fisherman to catch a fish will also compete for prizes.

Icelandic State Park is located five mile west of Cavalier, N.D., on Highway No. 5. To reach the lake follow detour signs. Registration is being held near the boat ramp.
