Fort Lincoln State Park closed
MANDAN, N.D. (AP) -- Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park south of Mandan is closed and won't reopen until flooding threats have eased.
Several areas of the park went under water March 23 when the Heart River rose. Park manager Dan Schelske said the water has receded but overland flooding will remain a problem.
Park staff are working to unclog culverts, dig out ditches and push snow. Interpretive programming at the park won't start until at least April 18.
