Fort Totten man injured in rollover
A Fort Totten, N.D., man was injured after losing control of his vehicle at about 6:15 a.m. Saturday.
The 24-year-old man, whose name has not yet been released, was driving south from Devils Lake to Fort Totten on N.D. Highway 20, according to a North Dakota Highway Patrol news release.
He crossed his vehicle over the center line into the opposite lane of traffic, the patrol said. He then took evasive action by steering right, but overcorrected and lost control of his vehicle.
The vehicle entered the west ditch and rolled about two and a half times down a steep embankment, the patrol said.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle, the patrol said. The vehicle came to rest on its top, and was totaled.
The driver was transported by Lake Region Ambulance Service to Mercy Hospital to be treated for injuries, the patrol said.
The incident is still under investigation.
