Frostbite victim to get robotic hand

ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- Alyssa Lommel, the University of Minnesota Duluth student who suffered frostbite after spending several hours outside in subzero temperatures, was on the search for an electric hand last week.

Teri Lommel, Alyssa’s mother, announced on her CaringBridge site that Alyssa is in the process of getting a robotic hand.

Alyssa Lommel has returned home to St. Cloud after losing parts of her hands and feet.
