GF mother killed in rollover Friday

BOWMAN, N.D. — A 34-year-old Grand Forks woman died as the result of a rollover accident near Bowman early Friday morning, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The unidentified woman was a passenger with her three children in a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Jared Schweich of Grand Forks. The vehicle slid through the intersection of Highways 85 and 12 in Bowman County just before 6 a.m. Friday.

The woman, who was not wearing her seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle after it traveled into a ditch before impacting a frontage road, the patrol reported.

The woman was transported to the Bowman Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Schweich and the three children were treated for minor injuries.

The patrol was withholding the woman’s name until notification of next of kin.
