Gorman signs with Jimmie track team
Erin Gorman of Campbell County High School in Gillette, Wyo., has signed with the Jamestown College women's track and field team.
She competed in hurdles, sprints and middle distances in high school. She placed sixth in the 2013 Wyoming Class AA state meet in the 300 hurdles in a time of 48.09. She was coached by Jimmie record-holder in the 400-meter hurdles, Marissa Curry.
"Erin is versatile with talents in hurdles, sprints and middle distance," JC women's track and field coach Jim Clark said. "I was very impressed with Erin when she visited us. I like her attitude about school and about track and field. She will be a great addition to the Jimmie team."
The daughter of Brent and Jean Gorman, she had a GPA of 3.96 in high school. She plans to study nursing or pre-occupational therapy.
