Gov’t Mule to perform in Fargo

Gov’t Mule will perform at 8 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Fargo Theatre in Fargo.

Gov’t Mule returns with its first album in four years, “Shout!” The band’s Blue Note Records debut is a double-disc set and will be released on Sept. 24.

“This album puts a spotlight on the songs and the way that we interpret them, which hinges on the unique chemistry we’ve developed as a band,” said Warren Haynes, guitarist and vocalist for Gov’t Mule.

The second disc of “Shout!” features Elvis Costello, Dr. John, Ben Harper, Toots Hibbert, Glenn Hughes, Jim James, Myles Kennedy, Dave Matthews, Grace Potter, Vintage Trouble’s Ty Taylor and Steve Winwood, who each deliver an alternate vocal performance on one of the first disc’s new Gov’t Mule tunes.

“No one’s done this before, which is exciting,” Haynes said, “but it’s even more exciting actually listening to these artists sing our songs. Their performances bring new ideas, energy and sometimes even different meanings to every number.”

Reserved seating is $35. Tickets are available at JadePresents.com, by calling (866) 300-8300, or at the Tickets 300 box office at 300 Broadway in Fargo from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Fargo Theatre is located at 314 Broadway N. in Fargo.
