Grand Forks ATM thief pleads guilty

GRAFTON, N.D. (AP) -- A Grand Forks man has pleaded guilty to burglary in the heist of a cash machine from a convenience store in Minto more than two years ago.

Gregory Nordrum also pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in connection with the ATM burglary in March 2007. Theft charges against him in two other burglaries in the Minto area in December 2006 are being dismissed under the plea agreement with prosecutors.

The plea deal calls for a sentence of no more than five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. No sentencing date has been set.

Nordrum also is charged in an ATM theft in Pembina County.
