Grand Forks schools seek increase in property tax
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -- The Grand Forks Public School District is asking for a nearly 29 percent increase in property taxes.
School district officials tell the Grand Forks Herald that the request is due to growing student enrollment and an unfair distribution formula for state money. Officials say they ended the last school year a $6 million deficit.
