Gwen Stefani to replace Christina Aguilera on ‘The Voice’
Gwen Stefani is near closing on her deal to join NBC's “The Voice” for the upcoming seventh season, an individual with knowledge of the deal told TheWrap.
Stefani will replace a pregnant Christina Aguilera on the upcoming fall season. Aguilera is set to return for the following spring season.
The No Doubt singer will join new coach Pharrell Williams, who replaced CeeLo Green, on the upcoming season. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are expected to return as well.
NBC didn't immediately respond to our request for comment.
Stefani, 44, was first introduced to the world as the lead singer of alternative rock-pop group No Doubt. They have released six studio albums. The group have sold more than 33 million albums worldwide. Stefani has also released two solo albums.
The singer also founded the clothing line L.A.M.B.
