Holiday Magic fundraiser this week
Jamestown Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will hold its annual Holiday Magic fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday. Items for sale will include ornaments, holiday décor, stocking stuffers, a bake sale and other gifts.
Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Children will also receive a book.
“Holiday Magic is our largest annual event that the auxiliary holds every year,” said Nancy Jo Johnston, JRMC Gift Shoppe coordinator. “This is a great time to get an early start on your Christmas shopping and support a great cause.”
The Christmas bazaar will be located on the lower level of JRMC next to the cafeteria. All proceeds from the event will benefit JRMC Family BirthPlace, children’s services and new equipment for JRMC.
JRMC Auxiliary was formed in 1973 by Dorothy Chouinard, who is still an active member. The 72-member auxiliary provides services and support for the hospital through financial donations and volunteer services.
The funds raised by the auxiliary provide materials back to the hospital; these have included baby burp cloths, surgery pillows and grab bars.
