Mandan broke out the big bats on Friday night.

Parker Harm belted three home runs and Matt Ziemann added another as the Chiefs left Jamestown with a pair of 9-3 nonconference wins at Jack Brown Stadium.

Mandan, which closes its regular season with another non-league doubleheader at home vs. Fargo Post 2 today, is seeded seventh for the Class AA state tournament, which starts Tuesday at Jack Brown Stadium. The Chiefs play No. 10 Jamestown at 8 p.m.

Harm finished 6-for-9 with the three long balls, a double, five runs scored and seven runs batted in from the No. 2 hole in the lineup.

Jamestown’s pitchers kept the ball around the strike zone, but Mandan teed off, finishing with 26 hits in the doubleheader. Nate Soulis and Ben Walz took the losses, respectively.

Harm battled through five innings for the win in the opener. Mandan’s Bryce Andresen pitched a gem in the nightcap to secure the sweep.

Ben Walz paced Jamestown in the doubleheader, going 3-for-6 with a double and a walk.

It was the final regular season game for four Post 14 players — Walz, Anthony Cook, Landon Weiser and Devon Rahn.
