‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ top grossing 2013 domestic release
“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” has surpassed “Iron Man 3″ to become the top grossing 2013 domestic release, Lionsgate said Friday.
As of this week, the futuristic sequel has made $409.4 million in the United States and Canada, a hair over the $409.3 million logged by “Iron Man 3.” Technically, “Iron Man 3″ is still the highest grossing film of the last calendar year, and its global haul is larger, standing at $1.2 billion.
