Jamestown 14u sweeps Valley City

Olivia Nihill went the distance, getting plenty of support in a 16-9 game 1 win for the Jamestown 14 and under fastpitch softball team.

Jamestown earned the sweep with a 14-12 win in the second game.

Nihill improved to 5-0 after the first game, with 26 total runs scored despite only three hits. Mariah Wick had Jamestown’s only hit and scored three runs.

Jamestown had five hits in the nightcap win, as Sydney Soulis was 2-for-2 with a triple. Joey Kleinsasser started the game, but reliever Halle Uehran got the win. Nihill picked up the save.

Jamestown improves to 8-0 in league play and hosts a tournament Friday.
