Jamestown Cenex robbed Sunday

The Cenex store at the corner of Fourth Avenue and 10th Street Southeast was robbed by a man wearing a plaid scarf and a dark-colored face mask at 7:40 p.m. Sunday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

“He demanded the money from the till, the clerk gave it to him,” said Lt. Robert Opp of the JPD. “… nobody was hurt and he didn’t produce a weapon, didn’t even say he had a weapon. He just asked for the money.”

After the robbery, the man fled on foot.

Opp wasn’t sure if it had been determined yet how much money had been taken.

The suspect in the robbery is male, 5 feet 9 inches or 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs around 200 pounds.

At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a denim jacket, a plaid scarf, a dark-colored face mask and gloves, Opp said.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call 252-1000.
