Jamestown fire calls for Aug. 30, 2014
Jamestown Fire Department calls Aug. 22–28:
Aug. 25: 12:40 p.m., fire department responded to 2403 Circle Drive, North Dakota State Hospital-GM Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was detected. Cause: accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 35 minutes.
Aug. 26: 12:22 p.m., ready squad responded to 215 4th Ave. SW, single-family dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause: faulty detector. Time out: 30 minutes.
Aug. 28: 10:43 a.m., fire department responded to 517 4th St. NW, to a report of large amount of smoke showing by the river. Firefighters extinguished an illegal burn pit and investigated. Cause: illegal burning within the city limits of brush and trees. Referred to law enforcement. No injuries reported. Time out: 20 minutes.
